Christopher "Chris" S. Shaw

Chris passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday Oct11. Among his friends and associates he was affectionately known as "The Creature". He is survived by four brothers, Jeff, Kelly, Mike and Tom. Chris was born in Santa Barbara and raised in Long Beach California. He was a veteran of the US Army and served a tour in Germany in the late- 1960's. About 30 years ago he relocated to Maui and settled in Kihei. He was active in the construction trade all over Maui. He worked for AH Builders Kihei for the last dozen years. Chris was known to be a dependable and hard worker and was highly thought of by those who worked with him daily. Always upbeat, Chris worked hard and he played hard. Known to frequent many entertainment venues throughout Maui, his favorite spot was Diamonds Ice Bar & Grill at 1279 South Kihei Road. Chris had said many times that he loved Maui and that Kihei was HIS spot in the world. It was his plan to never leave. And so it shall be. Chris' ashes will be distributed on the ocean off of Kihei in a private ceremony before the Celebration of Life. May God Bless Chris Shaw so that he shall Rest in Peace!

Services: There will be a Celebration of Life for Chris to be held at Diamonds on Saturday Oct. 29 between 2PM and 6PM. Please come and join the friends and family of Chris to give this Great Guy the best sendoff possible.
