Consolacion Maria Badua, 92, (previously of Lahaina) passed away on August 25, 2026, in the comfort of her Wailuku home under the care of her family and Hospice Maui. She was born on March 7, 1934, at Ragas, Dingras, I.N. Philippines to the late Maximo Alcon and Severina Bayudan.
Maria was married to the late Angel Badua Sr of San Nicolas, Philippines on July 7, 1950. He moved to Hawaii in 1966 and Maria and the children joined him on Maui in 1970. She worked very hard to provide for her family. She worked at Maui Land and Pine, Maui Surf Hotel, Hyatt Regency Maui and Embassy Suites.
Maria enjoyed gardening, caring for her flowers and many other things but most of all, spending time with her family and more recently her new friends at Wailuku Adult Day Care Center.
She is survived by her children: Rosito (Charito) Badua, Apolinario Badua, Juanita Sumibcay, Estela (Leoncio) Castro, Sonia (Wendell) Peters, Felicidad Badua, Flora Price, Angel (Liza) Badua Jr.; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Services for Consolacion “Maria” Badua will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Norman’s Mortuary, Visitation at 8 a.m., Service at 10:00 a.m., Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku.
