

Born on February 25, 1964, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, Darryl was the beloved son of the late Harold Joyce and the late Elsie Joyce.
Darryl spent much of his life working hard and serving the Lānaʻi community. Throughout the years, he was employed by Castle & Cooke, Richard’s Market, Lānaʻi Resorts, and the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi warehouse. He was known as a dependable, hardworking man who took pride in everything he did.
Above all else, Darryl cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Helinda Degamo-Joyce; his brother, Harold Joyce (Rosa); his nieces, Shannon Joyce, Jessica Matheney, and Kelli Okamoto; and his nephew, Chas Okamoto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elsie Joyce, and his sister, Nellie Okamoto (Charlie).
Darryl will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, unwavering work ethic, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He touched many lives throughout his years on Lānaʻi, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
