Dinah attended Lānaʻi High & Elementary School and dedicated many years of work to Dole Company, Lānaʻi Company, and Lānaʻi Resort Partners.
Loving, humble, kind, and wonderfully stubborn, Dinah found joy in life’s simple moments. She enjoyed the outdoors, the beach, Korean soap operas, and quiet mornings on her porch with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Family and friends passing her home on Lānaʻi Avenue could always count on her familiar wave—and hearing a loving beep from her daughter’s truck on the way to work.
A proud grandmother and great-grandmother, Dinah leaves behind her four children, Sarah Plunkett, Verna (Wendell) Fernandez, Larry (Renee) Plunkett, and Josette Plunkett; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. They will forever cherish her love, strength, and the beautiful memories they shared. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
