He is survived by his daughter, Debbi Elkin, and predeceased by his parents, his brother Sandy and ex-wife Patti.
Ed graduated in 1961 from Tufts University with his PhD in Psychology. He was a Fulbright student in Paris which sparked a lifelong love of travel and adventure. He was also a pioneer and facilitator of Gestalt Therapy.
He loved theatre, poetry, and all things New Age. Born in the Bronx but a man of the world. Ed circled the world as often as time and funds permitted. He later moved to Maui, Hawaii in 1986 and lived there on and off for almost 40 years.
