Eric was known for his giving heart and funny personality. The kind of person that would brighten any moment with a single joke and his contagious laugh.
Eric’s loyalty ran deep, and his love for his family and friends were consistently shown through acts of service- without hesitation and without complaint.
Eric was a hard worker who took pride in his work and carried a strong sense of responsibility. He loved fishing, taking his son to Fun Factory and trying new places to eat.
Above all, Eric was a believer in Christ. His faith was a quiet but powerful foundation in his life. We take comfort in knowing that his faith carried him home.
In his final days, Eric surprised us all in a way that perfectly reflected who he was. Eric chose to be an organ donor- one last, selfless gift. Even in the end, he found a way to help others live.
Though his life was far too short, the impact he made will last forever. His legacy lives on and not only will he always be remembered, but he will forever be cherished.
He is survived by his son, Kingston Kailieha-Castillo, his parents Pedro (Damasa) Castillo, The late Imelda Vicente, sisters Elvie Yap, Rhoda Chee, and his brothers Dexter Vicente, Jeremy Vicente and Roel Vicente.
The family would like to thank the first responders-MCFD, EMS, MPD, MMMC Staff, Norman’s Mortuary and all his family and friends for all of their aloha.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Norman’s Mortuary in Wailuku, Visitation is at 9:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Until we meet again.
