With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Flora Facuri-Mahoney, who entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2026, at the age of 74. She passed peacefully in Wailuku, Hawaii, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 24, 1951, in Wailuku, Maui, Flora was the beloved daughter of Telesforo Espia Facuri and Mary Delaisla Villarin. She was the second youngest of ten siblings and spent her life on the island she proudly called home.
On February 14, 1997, Flora married her devoted husband, Jeffrey Mahoney. Together they shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, travel, and treasured memories.
Flora was a loving mother to Alanna Cipro, Stephen Cipro, Sasha Cipro, and Kristie Facuri-Mahoney. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
To know Flora was to know kindness. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, a gentle heart, and a beautiful smile that could brighten anyone’s day. She always went out of her way to help others, offering compassion, encouragement, and friendship wherever she went. She cherished spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, tending to her garden, and reconnecting with lifelong friends. Her love was shown in quiet, thoughtful ways that made those around her feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Flora will be remembered most for her kind-hearted nature, her generosity, and the love she shared so freely. While her family grieves the loss of her presence, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Flora’s life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Norman’s Mortuary. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Flora to join them in honoring her life and sharing in the memories of a woman whose love and kindness will never be forgotten.
