They traveled all over the United States, to China, Taiwan and Canada. She loved to tell the story how her family took a freighter to China and they passed the Hawaiian Islands on the way. She asked the captain which island they were passing by, and he told her it was Maui.
From then on, she dreamed of making Maui her home. That dream became a reality in 2009, and she remained for the rest of her days on earth.
Although Gloria was very talented in gourmet cooking, interior design, gardening and d.i.y projects, her greatest joy was living for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and raising the children God blessed her with.
She is survived by her sister, Connie Meissner, her four children, seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
A private, undisclosed “Celebration of Her Life” ceremony will be held in her honor.
