Isabelina Anteola Pagdilao passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, at the age of 99, with her family by her side. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a kind friend to many.
Born on November 4, 1926, in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Isabelina came to Maui in 1968 with her beloved husband, Manuel Pagdilao, where they built a life together and established roots in Lahaina.
Isabelina was known for her unwavering work ethic and deep devotion to her family. She dedicated many years to the hospitality industry, working at the Party Pantry at the Royal Lahaina Resort, Kahana Sunset, Maui Surf Hotel, and the Kapalua Bay Hotel. She retired to care for her grandchildren as her greatest fulfillment was caring for her family and creating a home where everyone felt welcomed and loved.
Isabelina was reunited with her beloved husband, †Manuel. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Ismael (Fely) Pagdilao, †Pablo III (Nelda) Pagdilao, Rodrigo (Julie) Pagdilao, Perlita (Derek) Bali, June (Carla) Pagdilao, Estrella Amy (Roger) Bissara, and Wilson (Josephine) Pagdilao. Her family grew to include 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 38 great-great-grandchildren, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love and family.
Isabelina was known for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and loving reminder, "Mangan kayon" ("Go eat"), making sure everyone who entered her home was welcomed and well fed. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Norman’s Mortuary in Wailuku, Visitation at 5:30 p.m., Service at 7:00 p.m.; 2nd day on Friday, August 21, 2026, Visitation at 9:00 a.m., Prayer at 11:00 a.m., Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park-Garden of Meditation.
