James Walter Johnson, (77), passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Kihei, Hawaii.He was born on June 4th, 1946 to Leonard A. Johnson and Ruth F. Fowler in Palo Alto, California.He is survived by his son Darren Johnson, sister Kathie Rhoades, and brothers David and Mark Johnson, and granddaughter Katie RoseAlso by numerous nephews, nieces, and extended ohana.Jim had a long career in residential and commercial construction in Oregon, and since moving to Maui has been at successful property General Manager, most recently a Kihei Akahi.James is predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan Johnson and older brother Bill Johnson.Jim was undaunted by his recent and sudden illness that took his life as he was confident in his faith and knew that being absent from the body would mean he was present with his Lord.
