Over the years, Jerry applied his skill and care as a craftsman at the Pink and Black Coral Factory and through his work at several plant nurseries in Maui. Jerry also shared his artistic gifts through Hale Makua, where he was recognized as an artist of drawing and gave away a few of his pieces to people who admired them—simple, generous acts that spoke to the quiet grace with which he moved through the world.
