Kathleen Gushikuma

Kathleen Keiko Gushikuma, 83, of 45 Kuaiwa Way of Wailuku, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on May 22, 2026 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Wailuku, Maui at Malulani Hospital on May 6, 1942.

She is predeceased by her parents Tadashi & Yukiko (father Tadashi Yoshida and her mother Yukiko Sukimoto).

Kathleen graduated from H. P. Baldwin High School in 1960.

After graduating from high school, she spent her time driving school buses for Blue and White for over 20 years. She then worked for Skipper’s Printing, then later worked for Maui Printing Company.

Kathleen had a big heart and was known for helping others, her kindness and love for others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She really loved her church family and having dinner fellowship.

She is survived by her sons Scot T. (Phyllis) Gushikuma, Ross L. Gushikuma, grandson Cory Gushikuma. She also had many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be on Thursday, May 21 at Faith in Jesus church, 432 Waiehu Beach Road, Public Visitation at 9 a.m., Service at 10:00 a.m., Lunch to Follow. Scattering of ashes will be at a later date.
