Kaye Florence Whitney, 53, of Makawao died on March 10, 2012. Kaye was born in Bellingham, WA on June 11, 1958. She was the fifth of nine children born to Leonard and Idamae Ebe, seed potato farms in Ferndale, WA. Kaye graduated from Ferndale High school and received her BA in communications from the University of Washington. Kaye was predeceased by her mother Idamae (2002) and her brother Kevin (1959). She is survived by her husband Lance Whitney, MD, son Cole Whitney, father Leonard Ebe, sisters, Barb, Bev, Kim, Leann and Teresa; brothers Kurt and Greg, several cousins and the CrossFit Upcountry Maui Ohana.
Services: A memorial service and celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 3-6pm at the Hawaiian Canoe Club, Hoaloha Park, Kahului.
