Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend, Uncle Leo
Leonard (Leo) Raymond Ford, 66, of Maui, Hawaii, passed away on June 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Leo was known for his kind and giving nature, touching the lives of many throughout his life. A man of strong faith, he loved Jesus and his family above all. He was the “island mechanic” of Kihei, as you would often find him tinkering and fixing cars for friends and family. It was his favorite hobby, and he had a special way of repairing broken things. His other favorite thing was taking his boat out on the ocean, especially with his best friend, Rick. He spent hours out on the ocean, admiring Maui for all of its beauty.
He is survived by his son, Matt; his daughter, Amanda; his grandchildren, Marcus and Jordan; his sisters, Charlene and Diana; his brother, Chuck; nieces Shawne and Jeanena; and nephew Angelo.
An informal celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at the Kihei Boat Ramp for sunset, with gathering to begin at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his life by sharing memories, a laugh, and a sunset together. Services in Oregon will follow later this summer for his Oregon family and friends.
The love he gave will never fade. He will be deeply missed every day.
