Luisa Ampo Amorio

Luisa Ampo Amorio, 94 of Kahului, Maui Hawaii, had peacefully passed on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020. She was born in Duero, Bohol, Philippines on June 21st, 1925 to the late Ciriaco Felisilda and Benita Ampo.She first came to the United States on October,1992 to witness the Naturalization Ceremony of her late husband, Marcial Beronio Amorio—World War II Veteran under the United States Arm Forces of the Far East “USAFFE” command.

She lived for two (2) years in Santa Barbara County, California until the death of her husband, where she went back to Philippines on September 1994.

She came back on September, 2018 under the Filipino World War II Veterans Parole “FWVP” program with her sons, daughters and grandchildren to live in Maui, Hawaii.

Although she is no longer here, she will continue to live in the hearts of her 12 children, Alfredo Amorio – Vicenta Bernal, Herminio Amorio – Luz Garay, Rosalina Amorio – Teofilo Peligro, Eufemia Amorio Magdugo, Aniano Amorio, Arsenio Amorio – Estela Andres, Vevencio Amorio – Lucia Tica, Editha Ampo Amorio, Concepcion Amorio – Matt Lebores, Leonides Amorio – Baltazar Bernados, Nila Amorio – Danilo Acaso and Corazon Amorio – Isagani Caballero); 22 grandchildren, Michael Andres Amorio – Marissa Kettenbach, Dann Spencer Amorio Acaso, Angelica Amorio Acaso, Bernadette Amorio Acaso, Claire Amorio Bernados, Agnes Amorio Bernados, Cristopher Amorio, Vivencio Amorio JR – Cheza Bernat, Nilo Amorio, Adriano Amorio – Ivaness Chan Peji, Efren Amorio, Celso Amorio – Mary Grace Salazar, Roberta Amorio – Elizario Mag-isa, Beverly Gin Amorio Lebores, Stallone Jose Amorio Caballero, Baldwin Jose Amorio Caballero, Aldwin Jose Amorio Caballero, Llena Marie Amorio, Shiela “Che” Amorio, Amorio, Donabel Leslie Amorio – Joel Varon, Lloyd Louie Amorio, Cheryl Emielou Amorio); 10 great grandchildren, Danika Jolie Varon, Jorel Donald Varon, Dave Jefferson Salazar, Arianny Amorio, Athan Tanner Amorio, Lyra May Mag-isa, Vineza Amorio, Princess Amorio, Trishia Amorio and Chantrel Amorio; and siblings, Rosalia Ranque Cerbito, Basilio Ampo and Jacinto Ampo. She was predeceased by her husband, Marcial Beronio Amorio; father, Ciriaco Felisilda; mother, Benita Ampo; sister, Estelita Ampo Arana; brothers, Necitas Felislda and Alejandro Ampo Ranque.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Christ the King Church. Visitation to begin at 6:00 p.m. with prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Services will continue at Christ the King church on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 with visitation to begin at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku.
