Margaret Gibson of Fountain, Colorado, and formerly a longtime resident of Haiku, Maui, passed away in a Colorado hospital with family by her bedside. She is survived by two sons, Kalani Ku of Wailuku, Maui and Thomas Gibson of Mililani, Oahu, and stepdaughter, Christina Gibson, also of Wailuku, Maui. Margaret was known for working on a ranch in Makawao for who became her “Hanai” father, Dennis DeCoite, as well as working on an egg farm for Dennis. She also became a travel agent after many years of working on the ranch. She moved to Colorado about ten years ago until her passing. There will be a Celebration of Life for Margaret at The Haiku Bible Church, 1121 Kokomo Road, Haiku on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2 pm, a day after her birthday. Scattering of her ashes will follow at a later date.
