Marina Leilani Bonofiglio

Marina was born in Wailuku, Maui, on July 17, 1991. She graduated from King Kekaulike High School with the Class of 2009.

She enjoyed her beloved island home, hands-on projects, and the beach life. Marina’s legacy is one of profound love and unwavering devotion. As a devoted mother, she poured her heart into her daughter.

Marina found her truest sense of peace near the water. Whether she was walking along the shore, watching the waves, or simply soaking up the coastal sunshine, her spirit was most at home by the sea. That radiant, free-spirited energy will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.

In the four months leading up to her passing, Marina’s enthusiasm and love for life overflowed as she embraced her newfound faith in Christ.

Marina is survived by her parents, Mario and Joelyn Bonofiglio; her daughter, Leilani Sinaca; her brother, Channing Malubay; her sister Alicia (Mark) Pribbanow; her nephew, Dwaine Pribbanow; her grandmother, Rachel Santos; preceded in death, her grandparents, James Apolo, Vincent Bonofiglio, and Carolyn Church.

Her Celebration of Life will be private and by invitation only. Thank you for respecting the family’s privacy.
