Mary Lou Pennington

Mary Lou Pennington passed away peacefully at her family’s home and under the care of Hospice Maui on December 16, 2016.Mary Lou was known to many on Maui as their hard working, and meticulous attention to detail, house cleaner. Her many clients became her dear friends, and added much more to their lives than keeping their homes clean.To her children, Michael Pennington, Athena Hewitt (aka Tina) and Jon Pennington, along with their respective spouse’s, Angela, Kevin and Marcy, she was the stalwart example of what it means to be a kind and considerate human being. To the very end she exemplified strength, endurance and acceptance of the very difficult condition she was faced with.Mary Lou leaves behind her to sisters, Nancy Rushing of Ventura, California, and Shirley Westcott of Grand Junction, Colorado and their children. On Maui she leaves behind her grandsons, Christopher Cody, Graham and John Pennington. We love you, Oma!The family would like to recognize Hospice Maui for all their kindness, compassion and willingness to appear at a moment’s notice, when her family needed them most. Their love and support went far beyond the call of duty.We will miss you immensely mom and Oma.
