

Melecio "Mel" Madriaga Pigao, 59, of Kahului, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Mel was born on February 12, 1952 in Bulag Centro, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He worked as an accountant at the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort for over 25 years and later at the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel and the Makena Beach and Golf Resort. He was a devoted Catholic and was a Eucharistic Minister and lector at Christ The King Church. Mel loved spending time with his family and watching Filipino dramas. He was a loving husband, caring father and a kind hearted and generous person. He has touched many lives and will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife, Estrelita Ramirez Pigao; three sons, Melvin (Janilee) Pigao, Ervin Pigao, and Mark Pigao; three brothers Mario (Demetria) Pigao, Paul (Conchita) Pigao, and David (Cristina) Pigao.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary at 9 a.m.Services: On Friday, October 28, 2011 at Christ the King Church, Mass at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary, service at 10 a.m.Interment: Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park- Garden of Meditation.
