Micah graduated from Pearl City High School and worked many different jobs throughout his life. He worked security at a hotel in Waikiki, as an auto detailing specialist in Pearl City, at Beach Bums in Maʻalaea, he was a landscape engineer, and the Holomua Outreach coordinator.
Micah enjoyed the simple things in life, especially fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He loved his ʻohana deeply and was always there to help someone in need, never asking questions or expecting anything in return. He will always be remembered for his unmistakable smile and his contagious laugh that could make everyone around him laugh too.
Micah leaves behind his parents, Leandria (Nathan) Hilo and Gerard (Debora) Ching; his sibling, Aaliyah Hilo; his loving wahine of 22 years, Tania Kawaakoa; his fur babies, Ehu and Karma; along with many loving ʻohana and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Maliko Gulch in Paia, with public visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Another Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Villages of Kapolei - Kapolei Rec Center 2, located at 91-1050 Kamaaha Lp. on Oʻahu. His ashes will be spread at a later date.
The ʻohana of Micah Ching sends one big mahalo to everyone who shared in his life and ours. Thank you for all the love, support, and aloha shown to our family. Micah will forever be loved, missed, and remembered.
