Paul Petro Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; sons Marc (Donna) and Eric (Linda); grandchildren Mellissa (Walter) Baula, Paul (Julie) Petro, Sarah Petro (George Lee), and Jason (Madison) Petro; and four great-grandchildren.

Paul was born on September 19, 1934, in Mokuleia, Oahu, to Lily and Paul Petro, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his seven brothers. Following his graduation from Maui High School, Paul proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. After completing his military service, he began a fulfilling career with the Maui Police Department, retiring with the rank of captain. During his career with the Maui Police Department, Paul attended the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, alongside law enforcement officers from across the country.

Paul was known to all as an exceptionally kind-hearted man who was always eager to help those in need. He loved meeting people wherever he went and enjoyed sharing stories from his years in the Coast Guard and the Maui Police Department. Above all, Paul will be remembered by his family as a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A private family remembrance will be held.
