

July 16, 1929 – October 11, 2017Severino “Jerry” Pagay 88 of Lanai City, Hawaii passed away peacefully on October 11, 2017 at Hale Makua Kahului. He was born on July 16, 1929 in Waihee Maui to Francisco and Leonora Pagay.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 4, 2017 at Sacred Hearts Church on Lanai. Family visitation 9:00 – 9:30 am, public visitation 9:30 – 10:45, Eulogy at 10:45, Mass 11:00, burial of urn at Lanai Cemetery and lunch to follow at Lanai Recreation Center.Severino was a truck driver and retired from Dole Company on Lanai. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Antonia “Toni” (Ribucan) Pagay; children Stephanie (Alvin) Cortez, Elena (Eric) Muroki, Paul (Bobbie) Pagay, Jeri (David) Chun and Leona (Garrett) Pagay-Toma; grandchildren Nicole (Angel) Kahinu, Rhiana Cortez, Malia (Colin) Aita, Travis (Kevin Maynard) Muroki, Kimberly Muroki, Brandon Chun, Cheyenne Chun, Garrison Toma and Garrick Toma; great-grandchildren Alessandra and Kainoa Aita. Severino is also survived by siblings Ernest “Bozo” (Bertha) Pagay, Estrella (Eddie) Taguba and Linda (William) Rivera. He was predeceased by sons Laurence and Jerome Pagay, parents Francisco & Leonora Pagay; siblings Duncan Pagay, Larry Pagay, Frank Pagay, Mary Torralba, Caroline Taal, James and Robert Pagay.The Pagay family would like to thank Dr. John Janikowski on Lanai, Valerie Janikowki and the team and Ke Ola Hou, Linda Mau from the Department of Health, Dr. Pardo and especially the staff of Ilima and East at Hale Makua who provided care for dad.
