

Suzanne Lee Bascar, 56, of Haiku, passed away peacefully, at home under the care of Hospice Maui and surrounded by her family on Friday, November 4, 2011. Mrs. Bascar was born on September 8, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey. She was a preschool teacher with the Emmanuel Lutheran Church & Schools for sixteen years. Mrs. Bascar is survived by her husband, Stanislaw Bascar; four daughters, Heather (Thomas) DiMaggio, Brandi (Ray) Gaspar, Helena (James) Jardine, Rachel Bascar; her father, Lee (Elaine) Twist; a brother, John (Andrea) Twist; two sisters, Marie (Larryl) Matthews and Karen (Billy)Weeks; nine grandchildren; including an adopted grandson, Joshua Bascar; and an adopted granddaughter, Tihani Bascar; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Ballard Family Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in KahuluiServices: On Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service at 7 p.m. On Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kahului, with a service at 2 p.m.Interment: Burial will follow 3:30 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
