

Teddie was born on August 21, 1942, on Maui to Antone and Evelyn (Franco) Gonsalves. She spent her entire life on Maui, where she was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the many friendships she made throughout the years.
Teddie graduated from Saint Anthony High School in 1962. She then went on and worked as a janitor for Maui Medical Group and later in the Housekeeping Department at Maui Beach Hotel. She took pride in her work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In her free time, Teddie loved to travel and enjoyed visiting new places, creating many special memories along the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antone and Evelyn Gonsalves; her brother, Damien Joseph Gonsalves; her aunty, Alice Franco; and her sister-in-law, Marie (Pacheco) Gonsalves.
Teddie is lovingly survived by her niece, Leona Marie (Gonsalves) Figueira; her nephew, John Victor (Kimberly Wendt) Gonsalves; her great-nieces, Destiny (Amanda Willette) Silva, Ashley (Patrick Talbot) Talbot, and Kolina (Salvador De La Trinidad) Trinidad; her great-nephew, Travis (Alexis Cruz Balles) Silva; her great-great-nieces, Isabelle Talbot, Briseida Estrada, Yaritza Estrada, Emilia Silva, Eviee Silva, and Sophia De La Trinidad; and her great-great-nephews, Damien Talbot, Kainalu Gonsalves, and Keoni Gonsalves. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Norman's Mortuary. Public visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. An inurnment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
