Thomas Gregory Texeira, Sr.

Thomas Gregory Texeira Sr., 73, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025 in Waihe‘e, Maui, Hawai’i. He was born on January 17, 1952 in Hoolehua, Moloka‘i.

Thomas worked at Star Ice & Soda Works for over 40 years, starting in the warehouse and eventually becoming the Operation’s Manager. After retiring he worked on the farm at Waihe‘e Valley Plantation.

When Thomas or Uncle Tom as most people knew him by, wasn’t working, he loved going to Las Vegas, working in his yard, spending time with family and hanging out with his dogs & cats.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia Texeira; children Michelle (Malcolm) Sniffen, Denise Texeira†, Thomas Texeira Jr.†; grandchildren Nicole Texeira-Morton, Aaron Morton, Izak Morton, Kayla Sniffen, Teija Sniffen, Kaira Sniffen; great grandchildren Araiyah, Challice & Ezra Laloulu, Kayden & Kenzley Sniffen-Vegas; siblings Noel Texeira, Theresa “Cookie” Texeira, Kelly Texeira, Andy (Akemi) Valdez, George (Cheryl) Valdez, John W.S. Texeira†, and Denise (Kevin) Tanaka†.

Thomas will forever be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 17, 2025, at St. Ann’s Church in Waihe‘e. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. with service/eulogy at 10:30 a.m., mass to follow at 11 a.m.

The family wishes to thank Hospice Maui and all the Doctors, Nurses & Staff at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
