

Vivian was raised in a large and loving family, one of twelve children, six brothers and six sisters. She attended Pu‘unēnē School and later graduated from Baldwin High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Joaquin and Rose Cambra Joaquin, as well as the majority of her siblings. She is survived by her younger brother, Albert (Carla) Joaquin.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Dennis Abreu, and later by George Bartolome.
Vivian was well known by her customers after working for Sears for 30 years.
A woman of deep faith, Vivian loved the Lord and carried a strong, unwavering belief that guided her throughout her life. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, whether traveling together, enjoying the beach, or simply sharing quiet days at home watching movies and singing karaoke.
Vivian is lovingly remembered, and survived by her daughter, Denise (Eddie) Alamillo; her grandson, Jon (Gwen) Alamillo; Her granddaughter, Denvi (John) Rapoza; and her two great-grandchildren Jazzlyn Alamillo and Ioane Rapoza.
One of her most cherished memories was a family cruise to Alaska, 2 years ago. It was a place she deeply loved and had hoped to visit again.
Vivian’s strength, faith and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30 pm.
