Walter Lucus Rickard

Walter “Wally” Rickard passed away on October 20, 2025 in Wailuku at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu on October 27, 1963 to The Late Walter Rickard, and Doreen Sadang.

Wally worked for Sadang Fishery, AMFAC, Lanipoko Nursery, Kapalua and Honokawai ABC store and was the best Rickard Family Uber.

He loved cutting class, cruising up North, sleeping, skateboarding, fishing, riding dirt bike, playing with this grandchildren, stargazing, picking flowers, surfing, hot rods, paddling with Kahana canoe club, and his dogs.

He is survived by his life-time partner, Cathy Garcia; his children, Cierra Rickard (Mark Manuel), Lucas (Shawna) Rickard, Jade Rickard (Zac Carlton); his mother, Doreen Kepaa; sister, Corinna Kepaa; his grandchildren, Jayden, Aliyah, Lianne, Aria, Ayson, Kaia, and Rylo.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, Public Visitation is at 9:00 a.m.; Mass at 11:00 a.m.; Cremation to Follow

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Kahana Hale; 4495 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Lahaina; 11:00 a.m. – Sunset.

Wally will forever be missed.
