

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Anne Mary (Keating) and William James McGeehan, her husband William C.A. Rudy, her mother-in-law Maria Rudy, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her daughters Alice, Kathleen, and Anne. Her grandchildren Justin and Sara, and great grandchildren Brittany, Alex, Nicholas, and Olivia.
Nancy was born on December 18, 1937 in Nanticoke, PA. She graduated from St. Cecelia's Academy in Washington D.C. in 1955. Her professional career began at the age of 17 working for the CIA. She was civic-minded and service-oriented, serving a variety of organizations throughout her career including the U.S. Navy Reserves, U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Church Ministries, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Nancy loved God, her family, and friends. She had a deep appreciation for nature, whether she was observing the local wildlife, or working in her garden. She almost always had a house full of dogs and cats which she rescued from the local animal shelters. Her great passions were reading and music. She played the piano and organ, and sang in choirs, community theaters, talent shows, and piano bars.
The family has requested (in lieu of flowers) that donations be made in her memory to one of the following organizations:
• Alzheimer's Association
• Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home
• St. Peter's Catholic Church (her home parish)
• Humane Society of Charles County
Services will be held at Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, MD on Saturday June 18, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am.
Interment will be at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD on Tuesday June 28, 2022 at 2:30pm.
