Christopher Jon Goshen

Christopher Jon Goshen, age 61, of Waldorf, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at home in Waldorf, MD. Chris, one of eleven children, was born on June 10, 1965, in Washington, DC, to Aubrey "Red" Goshen and Doris "Jean" Goshen. He grew up in Bradbury Heights, MD, and graduated from Suitland Senior High School in 1983. Chris proudly served as a PGCO volunteer firefighter for several years during and after high school.

For over 40 years, Chris worked as an auto body technician until health issues required him to recently retire. He truly enjoyed vintage TV shows, classic cars, listening to music, playing guitar and drums, and having the ability to quickly learn and play other instruments. Chris especially loved family gatherings at which he often shared tales of his mischievous youth. He cherished annual family trips to the Outer Banks, and particularly visiting relatives in his “adopted” state of WV. Chris knew someone wherever he went, easily made new friends, and kept in touch with many of his childhood buddies until his passing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Chris is survived by siblings; David, Michael, Craig (Kathy), Jeffrey, Bradley, Mark, Lisa Adriani (Frank), and nephew David, who was raised by Chris’ parents. He is also survived by sister-in-law Patty, 8 nieces, 8 nephews, 5 great nieces and 8 great nephews who he truly loved. Chris was predeceased by his companion; Birgit Braatz, parents, sister Karen, and brothers Roger and Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Charles County.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf, Maryland 20601, on June 30, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at Huntt Funeral Home on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 am.  

Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735, on June 30, 2026
