Anyone who knew Darlene would know that she was one of the most caring, generous, selfless, nurturing, uplifting, encouraging, dedicated, reliable, honest and courageous people they ever had the chance to meet. She was the type of person who when you needed shelter, she provided it. When you needed help, she extended a hand. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and advocate.
Darlene loved music, family, laughing and all-around good times. Her motto was always life is too short and you must enjoy each and every moment and be the best person you can be as long as the Lord allows you to. She talked the talk and walked the walk daily and I’m sure the people’s lives she touch would agree.
She is survived by her Husband Charles, her sons Tyrand, Charleson, Ricco and daughter Chanell. Her mother Lydia, survived by Mother in Law Paige, her sisters Brenda, Diane, Anita, Lynn and brothers Tierekka, John and Jerry. Her grandchildren Tyrek, Cameron, Zaivion, Alana, Ryan, Elliana, Charlie, Qawee, Yaminah and three great grandchildren. Among many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father Marshall Butler Jr, his parents Marshall Sr and Annie Mae Butler, grandparents Johnny and Ella Lee and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She graduated from Suitland High School and went on to college to continue education which led to her becoming an entrepreneur/business owner. She owned her own Daycare which she enjoyed so much being that she loved people, especially children.
