Dennis Brian Lee Doss

Dennis Brian Lee Doss died June 27, 2010 at the age of 29. He was a resident of Waldorf, Maryland. Dennis graduated from Westlake High School in 1998. He continued his education in the Apprenticeship Program of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 99. He later moved to the Steamfitters Union Local 602. He worked as a Lead Building Engineer. He also worked many years with local plumbing companies. If you gave him a job to do, he gave you 110% plus. As a teenager he loved racing motorcycles and continued to love the excitement of riding his bike. He loved going to Daytona Beach, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He loved being outdoors. He was always outgoing and made many friends wherever he went in his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Dennis was the son of Sherry Lorraine June Doss and Dennis Lee Doss. Dennis is preceded in death by grandfather Linwood B. Doss, grandfather June Edwin Poole, Grandmother Doris C. Poole. Survivors include his parents, Dennis Lee and Sherry L.J. Doss of Waldorf, sister Sandra Doss and her husband Brian Flaherty and their daughter Courtney of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandmother Mary Elizabeth Doss of Lusby, Maryland. Other family members include Jaiden Lee Doss of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Gary and Becky Doss of Salisbury, Maryland, Kenny and Kerry Doss of Waldorf, Maryland, Donnie and Martha Ervin of Waldorf, Maryland Gary and Louise Ervin of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Dave and Shirley Snyder of Brandywine, West Virginia and eleven cousins. Dennis was born in Washington, D.C. on November 20, 1980. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601 where funeral service will be on Thursday, July 1 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Pastor Alexander Owen will officiate.
