

Eugene “Gene” E. Williams, Jr. of Brandywine, MD departed this life on March 31, 2020 after a brief illness. Gene leaves to mourn his wife, Marva Underwood Williams, his four beloved daughters: Courtney (Brandon), Ashley (Michael), Maya, Madison, and four grandsons. Gene’s son, Eugene E. Williams III, (“Jaye”) proceeded him in death. Gene also leaves to mourn his brother, Kenneth (Maria).
As a lifelong public servant, Gene began his career as a police officer in Detroit, MI. Gene’s career included holding several prominent positions at: the CA Department of Justice, the WI Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement, Forsyth County Drug Court, and WA Suburban Sanitation Commission. To become even more active in his daughters’ education, Gene’s most recent position was that of substitute teacher and treasurer of the PTSA at Accokeek Academy. Gene was also a Veteran of the Armed Services and retired at the rank of Captain from the United States Army Reserve. Gene’s has a host of family, neighbors, and friends that loved him dearly. Gene’s family would like to offer their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to all who thought about us during this most difficult time.
