Frances A Tameris

Frances Ann Tameris, beloved wife of Richard L Tameris gained her angel wings surrounded by family and friends at Hospice of the Chesapeake at the age of 78. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She is now reunited with her mother, father, brothers and sisters who preceded her death on September 25, 2025.

Born on November 28,1946 in Leonardtown, Maryland to Mary Gertrude Russell and William Francis Russell. Ann was a devoted military wife of over 60 years supporting her husband through his career while raising three sons. Her favorite pastimes were bowling, playing bingo, watching the Ravens play football, and watching her sons and grandchildren play sports. Some of her favorite memories were traveling with the family on beach trips. Her greatest joy was taking care of her sons and grandchildren and she took immense pride in their accomplishments. She received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for her many years supporting her husband’s 35 years with the Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband Richard L Tameris of Ft. Washington, MD whom she married on February 23, 1965, and her children Richard Tameris (Susanne Tameris) of Waldorf, MD, Tim Tameris (Carol Tameris) of Chesapeake, MD and Ron Tameris (Susan Tameris) of Olney, MD. She also leaves behind her 7 treasured grandchildren; Randal Tameris (Alix Johnson Tameris), Tyler Perdue, Steven Tameris, Ashton Tameris, Amelia Tameris, Emma Tameris and 2 great-grandchildren Paitin Johnson and Kaitlin Tameris.

Memorial Services will be held at Huntt Funeral Home 3033 Old Washington Rd Waldorf, MD 20601 on Saturday October 4th at 10:00 am with fellowship to follow at 12:00 pm at the Waldorf Jaycees Community Center 3090 Crain Highway Waldorf, MD 20603.
