Born on June 28, 1936, he was an avid hunter throughout his entire life, and also enjoyed building model aircraft, reading and working puzzles He loved his cats and spending time with his great grand daughter Gabby.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Chastain; his son Sean Chastain of Welcome; his grand daughter Krista Chastain of Hughesville; his great grand daughter Gabby Goshorn of Hughesville; his sister in law Sally Springer of Ocean City.
Visitation on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 from 10am to 12pm at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf, MD. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
Pallbearers are Doug Helms, Fred Phipps, Jr., Justin Phipps, Robert Raby, Sr., Craig Simpson and Matt Westerfield. Honorary pallbearer is Fred Phipps, Sr.
