Irene Melba (Taylor) Payne of Waldorf, MD, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015, at her home surrounded by her children. Born in Friendly, MD, on November 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James and Lottie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Payne.
Irene was a homemaker who loved cooking, flowers, playing Keno, watching her sons play Karaoke, and especially her little dogs, Peach and Midget.
Irene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her children Shirley Frye, Patsy Hutchison, Beverly (Jeanne) (John) Tayman, Peggy (John) Unkle, Jim (Phyllis) Payne, Darlene Payne, and David Payne, 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Huntt Funeral Home 3035 Old Washington Road Waldorf, MD 20601 on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 2-4 PM & 6-8PM. Where funeral Service will be held 10AM Wednesday February 25, 2015. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery Brentwood, MD.
