Judy Kay Snyder

Judy Kay Snyder-Siarmalis, 56, passed away on Sept. 25, 2015. Judy was born June 2, 1959 in Martins-Ferry, OH and was a long-time resident of Dahlgren, VA. She had a bachelor’s degree in Communications and was working on her MBA as education was important to her. Judy worked as a Vision Center Manager at Walmart in La Plata,MD.

Anyone who knew Judy knew how much her family meant to her. She was the youngest of 12 children, and her sister Patty Lou not only helped raise Judy they were best friends. Judy and her husband, Chris, were married for 32 years. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren ‘to the moon and back’.

She was happiest at the beach and her love to travel most often took her where she could enjoy the smells, sound, and feel of the ocean.

She is survived by her loving husband, Christos (Chris) Vasillias Siarmalis; her four children, Brandy Ann Miranda- Suite, Christen Maria Siarmalis, Vasillias (Bill) Christos Siarmalis and Melissa Siarmalis; and her four grandchildren, Mckenzie Veronica, Mason Connor, Madelynn Sofia and Ava Marie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Frances Snyder Sr. and Flora Mae Duke-Snyder; by many of her siblings and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial service will be held at 12 noon Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD.
