Katherine Virginia Vassar

Kathi grew up in Brandywine, MD. She graduated from Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, MD in 1969. After high school she attended Nursing School. She worked in pest control as an office manager for Orkin, Arrest-A-Pest, and Terminix.

Kathi married Mike Mobley in 1971 in Brandywine, MD. They were happily married for 5 years. Kathi married Bobby Vassar in 1982 in Accokeek, MD. They were happily married for 5 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at the beach or the lake. She loved to travel and explore different areas of the U.S.

Kathi is survived by her parents Bob and Madge Wells of Brandywine, MD; daughter Angela (Vince) Betancourt of Greenbrier, AR, her son Bradley Mobley of King George, VA, and her son Nicholas Vassar of Greenbrier, AR; her sister Patricia (Bill) Grove of Frederick, MD, Diana Ziegler of Oxon Hill, MD, Michael (Jenny) Wells of Carlisle, PA, Robert Gregory (Tracy) Wells, of Crestview, FL, and Melinda (Ralph) Turner, of Luthersville, GA; her grandchildren Allison, Emily, Ashley, Christian, Alyssa and Andrew.

Kathi was preceded in death by her parents William Ziegler, Mary Virginia Buchanan, and her son Chad Mobley

A memorial service will be held at Whitehall Baptist Church, 1205 Farmington Road E., Accokeek MD, 20607 at 11:00 on Friday, October 16, 2015. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service in the church hall.
