My amputee brother. You were my motivation and my strength to know every day it gets better. The last thing you said to me was “keep going no matter what” and I will. I will wear my chain with pride!

Thank you for allowing me the honor of serving you. From the moment I met you, you were truly inspirational. The strength you carried after everything you had been through with your amputation was something I will never forget.

Even after your own loss of your limb, you continued to show up for others. You encouraged fellow Veterans with limb loss, you led by example, and you reminded so many people of what resilience looks like. Your impact reaches far beyond what you may have realized.

I will make sure to continue to grow in how I serve Veterans like you. Your passing is a reminder that there is always more that I can do. Even though smiles are present, I will listen more, look deeper, and do my best to create space where people feel seen and supported.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your service to others.

You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

My heart is with you. The love and dedication you showed, standing by Kendrick’s side and advocating for him every step of the way, did not go unnoticed. He was deeply supported because of you. I am so sorry for your loss and will be keeping you in my prayers.

As your co-worker for many years you taught me many things. Somethings  work related but mostly larger and more important lessons.  Your warmth and open heart was appreciated as much as your fun and rambunctious personality.  Both sides made you a larger than life character that will live on forever in my mind and heart.
