Laura Etta Long died December 21, 2009 at Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton Maryland at the age of 60. Laura was a resident of Waldorf, Maryland. Laura worked for the Washington Post and the Independent as a distributor, she was of the Baptist faith. Laura loved kids, she was a hard worker and NEVER GAVE UP. Laura was born August 30, 1949 in Washington D.C. Laura is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Elizabeth Sweet and her son Timothy Long. Laura is survived by her son Gary Long, father William Sweet, Sr., sister Margie Gonzalez and brother William Sweet Jr. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 24, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the Huntt Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Rev. James Chance will officiate.
