Of Chaptico, MD passed away peacefully on July 10, 2012, with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late William M. Hamby, mother of Michael (Kathy Manley) Hamby, the late Matthew Hamby, Maureen (Anthony) Stea, Kathleen (Michael) Sargent Werner, Timothy (Patti) Hamby, Daniel (Robin) Hamby, Frank (Sandy) Hamby and Elizabeth (Richard) Ousley. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild who were much loved, as well as many loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Avenue, Waldorf, MD 20601 on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at St Joseph's Church, 4590 Saint Joseph Way, Pomfret, MD 20675 on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Arc of Prince George's County.
