Mary Alice Clark, 95, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home on November 14, 2025, just one week shy of her 96th birthday. She was born in South Dakota on November 21, 1929, to the late Ervin and Henretta Ruml. Alice lived a long, generous, and faith-filled life anchored by her love of family, community, and church.
Alice was the beloved wife of the late Edward Michael Clark. They were married on July 24, 1959, and shared a lifetime of love and devotion. She was a devoted mother to Michael Clark and Edward Clark. She is survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one niece, and was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Ruml.
A devout Catholic, Alice was known for her kindness, steady compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for others. She proudly volunteered with her church for many years, offering her time, effort, and heart wherever they were needed.
Alice graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Notre Dome High School and later earned a degree in bookkeeping. She went on to work for the U.S. General Accounting Office, a career that allowed her to travel and work abroad in Europe.
Outside of work and service, Alice found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. She loved going to church, playing bingo, gathering around a table for cards, and spending time with those she held dear.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Alice’s life will be held at Cheltenham Cemetery on December 23rd at 11:15 AM. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with loved ones and resting peacefully.
Alice leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity that will continue to shine through all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD, in her behalf.
