

Mary Frances Strobel died October 23, 2010 at her home in Waldorf, Maryland at the age of 81. Mary was born in Washington, D.C.. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Waldorf, Maryland. Preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Mary C. Mattingly Wilson, her husband Ed Strobel, sons, Joseph, Courtney and Philip, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her sons, Willie (Marcia Bonnaure) Good, Raymond (Mary Alice) Good, Richard (Terry) Good and Ralph Good. Her stepchildren, Margaret Rollins, Gloria Moody, Rose Marie (Jimmy) Goldsmith, Barbara (Chuck) Gray, Glen (Betsy Strobel), Ruth (Mel) Romestan, Steven (Betty) Strobel and Mary Helen Moody. Siblings, Elwood D. Wilson, Catherine Housley, Ann Cooksey and Jim Wilson. 38 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge her devoted angel of care Ernestine Coombs. Mrs. Strobel was retired from Safeway and volunteered at Civista Hospital. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling with her late husband. She loved her cats, but cherished family first. Family will receive friends at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Waldorf, Maryland on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery.
