Mitsugi (Narazaki) Corda passed away on Friday, 5 March 2021. Mitsugi was born on February 17, 1933 in a small fishing village outside Fukuoka, Japan. She was the fourth child of six, and the youngest daughter of Torokiche and Kotsuru Narazaki. She met Mario Corda, a young airman in the U.S. Air Force, while he was stationed in Japan. They were later married in 1955 and enjoyed 24 years of marriage until his death in 1979. Together they built a family while living in Japan, Germany, and here in the United States. As a widow, Mitsugi worked at Bolling Air Force Base until her retirement. Always active, she exercised daily and spent her time sewing, crocheting, and attending craft shows well into her 80's. She is remembered for her often blunt but always good-humored banter with everyone, and will be deeply missed. Mitsugi's priority in life was her children. She is survived by her son Mark (Shirley) of DeRidder, Louisiana, her son Stephen of Rosamond, California, and her daughter Valerie of Alexandria, Virginia. She was so proud of them and often bragged about their academic and professional accomplishments. She is also survived by an older sister, Shizue Tymoschenko, who lives in Florida, two younger brothers, Mitsuo and Toshihiro Narazaki, who both live in Japan, her granddaughter Anne Timpe (Nick) of Kutztown, Pennsylvania, grandson Ben Corda (Alyson) of Houston, Texas, and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Luke Timpe. She is also leaving her niece Maria White (Bobby) of Cary, North Carolina, and nephew Volodja Tymoschenko of Tampa, Florida. Funeral arrangements will be by Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, Maryland, followed at a later date by a family remembrance ceremony at the Fort Myer Post Chapel and burial with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery
