

USAF Staff Sergeant Nathan Lewis Tinsley, 27, passed away unexpectedly while stationed at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany to the 86th Airlift Wing on October 26, 2014. Nathan was born June 27, 1987 in Port Huron, MI. He spent most of his youth in California, attending high schools in Modesto, CA, where he was involved in the Fever Drum & Bugle Corp. and Eureka High School graduating in 2006. Following graduation Nathan enlisted in the USAF serving in Kansas, Afghanistan, Qatar, Korea, and Germany as a structural engineer for the last eight years.
Nathan is survived by his parents, Deborah Lewis and David (Debbie) Tinsley; siblings, Richard (Nicole) Tinsley, Staff Sergeant Jason Tinsley (USAF), Ashley Tinsley, Dennis Borelli Jr. and Cristina (Eric) Rackliffe; grandparents, Fred Lewis, Janet (Robert) Sutphen, and Richard (Evelyn) Tinsley, as well as, a niece, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and his military family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his grandmother Charline Lewis.
Nathan’s interment will be Monday, January 5, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Forest Baptist Church, 12995 Church Rd., Waldorf, MD, 20601, with Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD, 20601 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
