

Born August 21, 1999, in Laurel, Maryland, Oluwatomisin Dotun Aina is the first child of two Nigerian immigrants, Taiwo and Modupe Aina. After a long struggle with illness, Tomi has gone to rest at the age of 25.

Always with a cheerful and welcoming embrace, Tomi is a loved and cherished daughter, sister, and friend. Strong and jubilant, Tomi is remembered for unwavering positivity, optimism, and love. Despite her struggles with health, she showed grit and tenacity: Tomi had a strong belief in herself, her goals, and in the capacity of others. She would laugh with you, listen to you, and always say hello.
Her love of games and her strong desire to bond with others and to be part of the community demonstrate her compassion. She checked on people and remembered those near and far. She was always there for those who needed her, exemplified by her interest in her career and her steadfast pursuit of a degree in social work.
She is forever loved by her mother, Modupe Aina, her father Taiwo Aina, her two siblings Oluwatoni and Oluwatobi, and her loving extended family.
