Raymond was born in Southern Maryland on May 30, 1937, and often spoke of the support he received from Roy and Bernice Jett during his childhood.
He was very proud of his service in the military and would tell stories every chance he got.
Raymond retired from a long career with the Prince George's Board of Education.
He enjoyed watching westerns, church services, and programs supporting St Jude's Children's Research.
Staying on top of the news was a priority of Raymond's. He was always at the ready to talk about what was happening in the world.
Raymond is survived by his long-standing friend, Doris Tayman; his sister Thelma Brady; nephews James Brady and William Brady, and other family and friends.
