Ronnie Thurl Spurling, Sr., died February 21, 2011 in LaPlata, Maryland at the age of 69. Mr. Spurling was born February 13, 1942 in Westernport, Maryland.. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Iva Deanne Spurling, children James Lee Spurling, David Edward Spurling, Sr. and wife Michelle, Bonita LaQuay and husband Don and Michael Wayne Spalding, Sr. and wife Kerrie, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 1 brother, many other family, friends and his best friend, CoCo his dog. Mr. Spurling was a long time resident of Charles County and retired auto mechanic. He is predeceased by his son Ronnie Thurl Spurling Jr., and mother Susan Elizabeth Spurling. Family will receive friends at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland on Thursday February 24, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services and burial will take place at a later date in Clearville, PA.
