Shelby L. Hamilton "Sonny" died July 18, 2010 at his home in Mchanicsville, Maryland at the age of 74, Born October 19, 1935 at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C.. Graduated from LaPlata High School before joining The US Navy from 1953 - 1961, Retired from the C & P Telephone Company. "Sonny" enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping down at The Goose Bay Marina. He is survived by his sons, David Hamilton and wife Judith and Donny Hamilton and his wife Laura, brothers Ronny and Lelair Hamilton, sister Anne Simmonds, Step-mother Inez Hamilton, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grand-children. He is predeceased by his wife Shirley Hamilton. Family will receive friends at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601 on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM where services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 12:30 PM.
