Born June 10, 1936 in the Bronx, NY, Tom was the first-born of Bridget Neary and Thomas Harrison, two Irish immigrant parents. While he experienced several different industries through his lifetime, he leaves a legacy of more than 35 years as a real estate broker in Prince Georges and Charles County, Maryland. A successful entrepreneurial spirit led him to excel in investing in and establishing several of his own businesses.
Tom’s most favorite conversations involved history, particularly regarding World War II. He was an incredibly passionate person who cared deeply for not only his family, but people around him and in the community. When Tom wasn’t working he enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, eating and drinking fine food, or sitting with a dog by his side.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda Watson Harrison; his brothers Brendan Harrison (Clara) and Francis Harrison (Frances); his daughters Teresa Halleck, Joan Siegel and Kristin Bramell; and grandchildren Stephen Halleck, Mark and David Siegel, and Chloe and Oliver Bramell.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:30 on October 19, 2015, at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD.
Memorial contributions are welcome and should be directed to Catholic Charities of the Archdioceses of Washington, DC. 924 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001
