Warren lived nearby, and he was always being a good, friendly neighbor to us and others.  He would let us use his yard waste trash cans, he let us borrow a saw once (to cut up a limb that fell during a big storm--Warren HATED sticks in his yard...it was kind of funny because he always complained about the sticks), he would chase down my trash cans and bring them back up the big hill when the rain would wash them down the road--even at 80!  When I first moved in, he gave me the trash, recycling and yard waste information.  He often caught me when I was working outside asking if I needed anything to aide in what I was doing (another trash bin, tools, etc).  When my car wasn't home all day on trash day, he come over and bring my bins back to my house.  I never asked him to do that--he just saw them out there, and he wanted to help out.  He was always trying to be helpful.  When the last big storm came through, he actually telephoned me directly to make sure I heard about the incoming storm so I could prepare my yard furniture, bins, etc.  But that might be because he was tired of chasing my bins down the road :)  His presence will be missed on the road.
